Overview
The Xiaobi 7-in-1 USB C Hub is a powered USB hub that combines four USB-A ports and three USB-C ports in a single compact unit. It supports data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, making it a practical expansion solution for laptops, desktops, and game consoles that need extra connectivity.
What sets this hub apart is its clear separation between data and charging ports. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (two USB-A and two USB-C) handle high-speed data transfer at up to 10Gbps, while the remaining ports are dedicated to fast charging with PD 45W and QC 18W support. The included 24V/3A power adapter ensures stable power delivery even when multiple devices are connected simultaneously.
Connectivity & Compatibility
The hub connects to a host device via a USB-C cable, and the included USB-A adapter allows connection to computers that only have USB-A ports. It is plug-and-play with no driver installation required, and works with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
The four data transfer ports use USB 3.2 Gen 2 technology to achieve speeds of up to 10Gbps. Meanwhile, the dedicated charging ports consist of one USB-C port with PD 45W output and two USB-A ports with QC 18W output, suitable for charging smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Note that the charging ports do not support data transfer, and the data ports do not support video output.
Product Info
The Xiaobi 7-in-1 USB C Hub is positioned as a mid-tier USB hub available through online retailers. It offers a seven-port configuration with 10Gbps data transfer and PD 45W charging at a reasonable price point.
The housing is made of premium aluminum for durability and heat dissipation. The 34-degree tilted design and non-slip silicone strips on the bottom keep the hub stable on a desk, making it easy to plug and unplug cables.
Best Use Cases
- Home office workers using a laptop as their primary machine. With limited USB ports on many laptops, this hub lets you connect a mouse, external drive, and charging cables all at once, and the 34-degree tilt makes plugging and unplugging easy. It may be too bulky for frequent travelers.
- Creators who handle large files such as videos and high-resolution photos. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports deliver up to 10Gbps transfer speeds, making it quick to move data to an external SSD. However, since there is no video output, it is not suitable for those planning to connect an external monitor.
- People who want to charge a smartphone and tablet simultaneously on their desk. With dedicated PD 45W and QC 18W charging ports plus the included power adapter, stable power delivery is assured. Those who need data transfer and charging at the same time will need to plan their port usage carefully.
