This article covers サンワダイレクト USB ハブ 電源付き セルフ バス パワー 7ポート ACアダプター ブラック 400-HUB070_HUBA070.

Overview

The Sanwa Direct 400-HUB070BK is a 7-port USB hub that lets you connect up to seven USB devices at once. It supports the USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) standard, delivering transfer speeds up to 5Gbps when both the host PC and connected devices support the standard. This makes it a practical solution for consolidating mice, keyboards, USB flash drives, external HDDs, and printers into a single USB port on your desk.
A key feature of this hub is the included AC adapter. It supports self-powered operation, which ensures stable performance even with power-hungry devices like Blu-ray/DVD drives and portable HDDs, while also working in bus-powered mode when needed. Despite offering seven ports, the unit stays lightweight and compact, so it won't clutter your workspace. The detachable connection cable also adds to its portability.

Connectivity & Compatibility

The hub uses the USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) interface and is compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 peripherals. When you connect a USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 device, the transfer speed automatically drops to the slower standard, so keep that in mind when mixing older gear.
Among the seven ports, six are oriented vertically and one horizontally, making it easier to plug and unplug cables in tight spaces. The hub works with both Windows and Mac systems, and the detachable cable design adds flexibility for different setups.

Product Info

The Sanwa Direct 400-HUB070BK sits in the entry-to-mid tier of USB hubs, combining a seven-port layout with an included AC adapter. It offers USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) speeds of up to 5Gbps while supporting both self-powered and bus-powered operation. The warranty period is six months from the date of purchase.
In the market, powered USB hubs with this many ports often carry a premium price, but this model bundles those features at a reasonable price point, making it an accessible option for everyday users.

Best Use Cases

  • Desktop and laptop users who have run out of USB ports: with seven ports, you can connect a mouse, keyboard, USB flash drive, and external HDD simultaneously without constantly swapping cables.
  • People who need to run power-hungry USB devices like external HDDs or Blu-ray/DVD drives: the included AC adapter provides stable self-powered operation, avoiding the dropouts that can occur with bus power alone.
  • Users who want a hub for both home and travel: the detachable cable and compact, lightweight body make it easy to pack, though you will need to carry the AC adapter along as well.
