Overview

The Razer Cobra Wired Gaming Mouse in Minecraft Edition is a licensed take on Razer's lightweight Cobra chassis, aimed squarely at players who want official Minecraft flavor on their desk. It tips the scales at just 58g while keeping a wired USB connection, which removes the need for charging between matches. Inside, an 8500 DPI optical sensor delivers smooth tracking, and the third-generation optical mouse switches respond in as little as 0.2ms with a 90-million-click rated lifespan. The result is an affordable entry-level gaming mouse that still feels genuinely responsive in fast-paced shooters and casual exploration alike.
The design is unmistakably Minecraft-themed, with green accents and an underglow that Razer Chroma RGB can synchronize with supported games. DPI adjustments can be made in 50 DPI increments, so you can fine-tune sensitivity to match your playstyle. The Speedflex cable and 100% PTFE feet further reduce drag, which helps the mouse feel lighter than its weight suggests in actual use.

Connectivity & Compatibility

This mouse connects over USB only, so no dongle or charging cradle is required. It is recognized by Windows systems as a standard USB mouse, while the Razer Synapse software provides deeper customization for DPI, button mapping, and Chroma lighting. Because it does not rely on wireless receivers, there are no pairing issues or battery-related dropouts during long play sessions. As long as your PC has a spare USB port, the mouse will work with both desktop towers and laptops.

Product Info

The Minecraft Edition is a licensed collaboration that builds on the standard Razer Cobra design. Pricing hovers around the 10,000 yen mark in Japan, placing it at the accessible end of the lightweight wired mouse segment. It offers a 58g body, 8500 DPI optical sensor, 90-million-click optical switches, and a 0.2ms actuation time, which is an unusually complete feature set for this price tier. Availability can vary because it is a themed collaboration, so it is best to check the Razer official store or major retailers for current stock. Warranty terms and included accessories should be confirmed on the official product page.

Best Use Cases

  • Minecraft players who want an officially licensed mouse. The themed design makes the mouse feel like a natural extension of the game, and the Chroma underglow adds atmosphere. Users who prefer a neutral, understated look would be better served by a standard black mouse.
  • Competitive FPS players who prioritize low weight. The 58g body, flexible Speedflex cable, and PTFE feet make flick shots and micro corrections easier. If you insist on wireless freedom, this wired model is not the right pick.
  • Budget builders looking for a quality wired gaming mouse. You get lightweight construction, a capable 8500 DPI sensor, and durable optical switches for a reasonable price. Enthusiasts who need a higher-end sensor or more programmable buttons will likely want to step up to a more advanced model.
