CPU用8ピンを挿し間違えたRTX 3080 Tiを、電力監視チップの交換で直すまで

Symptoms

• Video output worked, but red, green and blue colours flickered
• Under load the card stuttered
• GPU-Z showed zero for 8-pin input power, PCIe slot power and total board power

What was checked

• Unpowered tester measurements: 12V-to-GND short, shunt-resistor continuity, resistance of the power rails
• Matched the schematic against photos of the board
• Found heat marks on the power-monitor chip's pins with a digital microscope
• A video-memory read/write test showed no mismatches

Parts replaced

• Power-monitor chip uS5650P (front of the board)
• Power-monitor chip uS5650P (back of the board)

Outcome

After both chips were replaced, GPU-Z voltages returned to 12.1–12.3V on the slot and 8-pin inputs and the power readout worked again.
