Overview

The MSI PRO MP251 E2 is a 24.5-inch IPS monitor with a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution, designed to bridge the gap between office productivity and casual gaming. It combines a 120Hz refresh rate with a 1ms response time, making it a versatile choice for users who want smooth visuals without stepping into the premium gaming monitor segment. The non-glare screen surface helps reduce reflections during long work sessions.
Positioned between entry-level and mid-range territory, this monitor offers a 178° viewing angle typical of IPS panels, along with Adaptive Sync support to minimize screen tearing. Its compact 24.5-inch footprint and VESA mount compatibility (75×75mm) make it easy to integrate into a tidy desk setup, whether you prefer a monitor arm or a wall mount.

Connectivity & Compatibility

The PRO MP251 E2 provides three video inputs: HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA. Both HDMI and DisplayPort support the 120Hz refresh rate, while the VGA port serves as a fallback for legacy devices. Built-in speakers are included, so you can get audio output without needing external speakers right away.
This monitor works with desktop PCs, laptops with HDMI output, and even game consoles. Adaptive Sync compatibility means that when paired with a supported GPU, you can expect reduced tearing and stuttering during gameplay. The VESA mount holes allow for flexible mounting options, and the tilt-adjustable stand offers basic ergonomic adjustment for comfortable viewing angles.

Product Info

Check the retailer's page for the latest price. The standard manufacturer warranty is one year (check the official MSI page for details), and the package includes the necessary power cable and a quick start guide.
In terms of market positioning, this is a value-oriented model that sits close to entry-level pricing while offering mid-range features like a 120Hz IPS panel. Unlike dedicated gaming monitors, it skips RGB lighting and ultra-high refresh rates, but that keeps the cost down without sacrificing the essentials most users actually need.

Best Use Cases

For remote workers and office professionals, this monitor is a solid choice. The IPS panel's wide viewing angles and the non-glare coating make it comfortable for spreadsheet work, document editing, and web browsing over extended periods. The TÜV-certified display and MSI Eye-Q Check feature are thoughtful additions for anyone concerned about eye strain.
Casual gamers will appreciate the 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time for titles like FPS and racing games. It handles light to moderate gaming sessions well, though competitive players seeking the highest refresh rates might want to look at dedicated gaming monitors with 240Hz or higher.
Users with limited desk space will find the 24.5-inch size and VESA mount support particularly appealing. It takes up less depth than a 27-inch model and can be easily mounted on an arm. However, if you need 4K resolution or advanced HDR for creative work, this monitor's specs will likely fall short of your requirements.
