Overview

The ATTACK SHARK X8 Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse stands out with its featherlight 55g design, making it one of the lightest wireless mice in its price segment. Powered by the PixArt PAW3950MAX optical sensor, it delivers up to 42,000 DPI, 700 IPS tracking, and 60G acceleration—specs that rival flagship models. Both wireless and wired modes support an 8,000 Hz polling rate, ensuring near-instantaneous response for competitive gaming. Tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, USB-C wired) offers flexibility, while the 800mAh battery provides up to 800 hours of use at 1,000 Hz polling. The medium-to-large ergonomic shape and nano-ice coating keep the mouse firmly in hand during intense sessions.

Connectivity & Compatibility

The X8 supports three connection methods: 2.4GHz wireless via a dedicated dongle for low-latency gaming, Bluetooth for cable-free convenience with laptops or tablets, and USB-C wired for charging and zero-lag play. All modes maintain the full 8,000 Hz polling rate. It works with Windows and macOS out of the box, and the cloud-based web driver allows DPI adjustment, button remapping, and macro recording without installing any software.

Product Info

Released in late 2025, the ATTACK SHARK X8 sits in the mid-to-high tier of wireless gaming mice, offering premium sensor and polling performance at a competitive price—around ¥13,700 on Japanese online retailers. The mouse comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty, a USB receiver, a USB-C charging cable, and a quick-start guide. Its cloud driver eliminates the need for traditional software downloads, making setup quick and hassle-free.

Best Use Cases

First and foremost, competitive FPS players will appreciate the 55g weight and 8K polling rate, which reduce fatigue during long sessions and provide a tangible edge in reaction time. Second, users who switch between multiple devices—such as a desktop, laptop, and tablet—will benefit from the seamless Bluetooth/2.4GHz toggle. Third, budget-conscious gamers seeking ultralight performance without breaking the bank will find the X8 an excellent value, as it undercuts many similarly specced competitors. However, those with small hands or a palm-grip preference may find the shape less accommodating, so trying the mouse in person is recommended if possible.
