Overview

The SteelSeries Aerox 3 WL Gen 2 Fortnite 62720 is a special edition wireless gaming mouse themed after the popular battle royale game Fortnite. Based on the Aerox 3 WL Gen 2 platform, it features an ultra-light honeycomb shell weighing just 68g and supports up to 4000Hz polling rate for near-instantaneous response. The Fortnite color scheme and branding make it a standout choice for fans of the game.
Equipped with the TrueMove 26K optical sensor (up to 26,000 DPI), this mouse delivers precise tracking for fast-paced shooters. It offers dual wireless connectivity via 2.4GHz (with up to 80 hours of battery life) and Bluetooth 5.0. The IP54-rated AquaBarrier provides dust and water resistance, adding durability for intense gaming sessions.

Connectivity & Compatibility

The Aerox 3 WL Gen 2 Fortnite connects wirelessly via a 2.4GHz USB dongle (stored inside the mouse) or Bluetooth 5.0. It works with Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS, making it compatible with most gaming PCs, laptops, and even tablets. The included USB-C to USB-A cable can be used for charging or as a wired connection.
Customization is handled through the SteelSeries GG software, allowing adjustments to DPI, polling rate, RGB lighting, and button assignments. The mouse is plug-and-play for basic functions, but the software unlocks full potential.

Product Info

Released in 2025 as online retailers exclusive, the Fortnite edition carries a street price of around ¥19,000. It comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty. Package contents include the mouse, USB dongle, charging cable, and quick-start guide.
Positioned in the mid-to-high tier, this mouse competes with other ultralight wireless models like the Razer Viper V2 Pro and Logitech G Pro X Superlight. Its unique Fortnite design and 4000Hz polling rate are key differentiators, though the core hardware is identical to the standard Aerox 3 WL Gen 2.

Best Use Cases

  • Competitive Fortnite players: The lightweight build and high polling rate give an edge in building and aiming. The themed design adds a personal touch for dedicated fans.
  • FPS gamers seeking ultralight mice: At 68g, it reduces fatigue during long sessions and allows quick flicks. Not ideal for those who prefer heavier mice with more resistance.
  • Users in dusty or sweaty environments: IP54 protection means spills and dust won't ruin the mouse, making it suitable for LAN events or outdoor gaming.
  • SteelSeries ecosystem enthusiasts: Sync lighting with other SteelSeries gear via GG software for a cohesive setup.
