Overview

The ATTACK SHARK R85HE is a wired gaming keyboard featuring a compact 75% layout. Its standout feature is the magnetic switch with rapid trigger technology, offering an actuation distance as low as 0.005mm for near-instantaneous response. Combined with an 8000Hz polling rate, input latency drops to just 0.08ms, making it a strong contender for competitive play. PBT keycaps and a five-layer sound-dampening construction deliver a satisfying typing feel while keeping noise in check. The space-saving layout is ideal for FPS and fighting games.

Connectivity & Compatibility

Connectivity is via USB-C wired only, ensuring stable, low-latency communication. The keyboard is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs, as well as game consoles like PlayStation and Xbox. A two-stage tilt stand allows you to adjust the typing angle to your preference. The detachable USB-C to USB-A cable is included in the box.

Product Info

The ATTACK SHARK R85HE launched in late 2025 as a mid-range to upper-mid-range gaming keyboard. Its market positioning is strong: it offers magnetic switches and rapid trigger at a price point around ¥13,799, undercutting many competitors with similar features. The warranty typically covers one year. Accessories include the keyboard, USB-C cable, keycap puller, a few spare keycaps, and a manual. It is available on Japanese online retailers and other major online retailers.

Best Use Cases

  • Competitive FPS players: The rapid trigger and 8000Hz polling shine in titles like Apex Legends and Valorant where every millisecond counts. The short actuation distance lets you release a key before it fully resets, enabling faster strafing and counter-strafing. However, typists may experience accidental inputs due to the high sensitivity.
  • Gamers with limited desk space: The 75% layout is more compact than tenkeyless designs, leaving extra room for mouse movement. It's a great fit for small desks or laptop setups. Users who rely on a numpad should look elsewhere.
  • Budget-conscious enthusiasts wanting to try magnetic switches: Many magnetic-switch keyboards cost over ¥20,000, but the R85HE offers similar core functionality for around ¥13,799. It's an accessible entry point. Those seeking premium build quality or a well-known brand may prefer higher-end options.
