Space Engineers: Build, Explore, and Survive in a Volumetric Sandbox is an engineering sandbox built around mining, production, construction, and navigation in space and on planets. Instead of merely piloting finished ships, you assemble block-based machines and make their power, propulsion, control, and storage systems work together.

This is a difficult recommendation for anyone who wants a highly guided tutorial, a constant stream of explicit objectives, or a clearly defined final victory. Functional construction requires an understanding of power, propulsion, and component connections.

If diagnosing why a prototype refuses to move sounds like tedious work, the game's freedom may feel more like friction.

Larger ships and stations also demand more resources, construction time, and physics processing. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee identical performance at every building scale.

Start small, measure how your PC handles the simulation, and expand toward a scale that remains comfortable.
