How to use
- Type the start of a game's title and pick it (or open the check from the link on a Steam game page).
- Choose a PC from My PC, or enter the CPU, GPU, RAM, OS and free space yourself.
- Minimum and recommended are shown separately. Each item (OS, CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, storage, DirectX, other) is confirmed, short or unknown, with the requirement's original text and the date of the data.
- "Save to this PC" keeps the result in this browser, under the PC you chose.
Worked example
Example: a requirement "Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600" and a PC with a Core i7-12700K: the CPU is confirmed (clearly above one of the listed options). "SSD recommended" in the notes is always unknown, because the page does not check notes. If every written item is confirmed the summary says so, and still does not say the game will run.
Limits
- Unknown stays unknown. Nothing is called a pass while any item is unknown. A model that cannot be matched to the dictionary, a requirement without a model number ("Quad core 3 GHz"), a value you did not enter, or a number that reads two ways is shown as unknown, with what was not matched.
- CPU and GPU are compared by the site's normalised model scores. Scores within ±10% of each other are not called either way, and scores of different makers are only roughly comparable.
- No FPS, no "it runs", no "x times the recommended". Requirements are the publisher's own wording and are often rough.
- Windows versions are compared as "this version or later". DirectX depends on your GPU and OS, so you choose it; it is not guessed. Free space is the space where you will install the game, typed by you.
- The requirement text is taken from this site's Steam article data at build time. The date shown is the date of that data, not necessarily the day the publisher last changed the requirement. Check the store page for the latest.
- Your PC and choices are not sent anywhere. The page reads only static data files.
Your inputs and results stay in this browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
