Overview

Numeromantia, developed and published by BaBa yaGa, is a turn-based deckbuilding roguelike that landed in Early Access on October 31, 2026. The core twist: your cards have shapes, and the numbers beneath them on the board fuel their effects.

There's no mana system — every number counts. You place a card over the number board to attack, gain Block, or set up a combination, and the numbers you use are consumed, reshaping the choices left to you.

Highlights

  • Shape-Based Cardplay: Cards occupy physical areas on a number grid; filling an entire card's area triggers its Resonance, a powerful effect that rewards careful placement.
  • Resourceful Board Management: Numbers are a finite resource. You must plan around regeneration, sleeping cells, and the enemy's next action to keep your options open.
  • Deckbuilding with Board Transformation: Raise numbers, transform metals, and charge cells with elements or your hero's marks. A tempting large shape may bring a powerful effect, but it also consumes more of the board.

Who It's For

If you enjoy roguelike deckbuilders that demand spatial thinking — like placing tiles on a grid while managing a hand of cards — Numeromantia offers a fresh twist. It's also a good fit for players who like to plan several turns ahead and appreciate adjustable difficulty and camera comfort options.

The game is currently in Early Access, so expect ongoing development and changes.
