Overview
Set in 2031, twenty years after the Fukushima disaster, Neon Apocalypsis drops you into a world where a sudden zombie and monster outbreak has swept across the nation of Neon. US forces stationed on the islands are wiped out, and a UN investigation team is ambushed.
Separated from your teammates, you must survive in a hostile environment overrun by the undead and mutated creatures. Your primary mission: locate your lost teammates, secure their safety, and arrange evacuation for the wounded.
But as the description hints, there is much more to come.
Developed and published by 4 Cats Studio, this Early Access title blends adventure, top-down shooting, and extraction shooter mechanics. It's not your average zombie shooter—resource gathering, weapon and vehicle collection, attribute strengthening, and character progression are all core parts of the experience.
Highlights
- Top-Down Shooter with Extraction Elements: Navigate a 3D post-apocalyptic world from a top-down perspective, combining intense firefights with the risk-reward loop of extraction shooters.
- Resource Management and Progression: Gather resources, weapons, and vehicles, then strengthen your attributes to survive increasingly dangerous encounters.
- Early Access with Full Audio Support: Currently in EA 1.0, the game supports multiple languages with full audio in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more, ensuring a polished experience for a global audience.
Who It's For
If you enjoy top-down shooters with a survival twist, or if you're a fan of extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov but prefer a more arcade-like, post-apocalyptic setting, Neon Apocalypsis is worth a look. The blend of resource management, vehicle use, and cooperative-style objectives (even in single-player) offers a fresh take on the zombie genre.
Early Access means the game is still evolving, so players who like to be part of a game's development journey will find plenty to engage with.
