Overview
Most running games ask you to dodge, weave, and avoid. Headbutt Dino flips that idea on its head—literally.
Instead of sidestepping obstacles, you charge straight into them and smash them out of the way. The more you smash, the higher your combo climbs, and the denser the obstacles become.
Eventually, the screen fills with things to break, and that moment of sending dozens of obstacles flying at once is exactly what the developer set out to create.
Highlights
- Combo-Driven Chaos: Every obstacle you headbutt builds your combo, which in turn packs the next wave tighter. The escalating density keeps the pressure on and rewards aggressive play.
- Card-Based Progression: Smashing fills a gauge that turns into gacha tickets. Spend them between stages to draw cards and build a deck of eight, with one fixed card per character that can't be dropped.
- Five Card Types: Cards are split into five categories, giving you room to experiment with different builds and strategies as you chase high scores.
Who It's For
If you're tired of precision dodging and prefer a more aggressive, arcade-style approach, Headbutt Dino is a refreshing twist on the runner genre. The roguelite deckbuilding adds a layer of strategy between runs, while the score attack focus will appeal to players who love chasing personal bests.
It's a compact, satisfying package for anyone who wants to smash their way through a chaotic, combo-fueled challenge.
