Details

Overview

Ferrite Runner is a mouse-only cyberpunk extraction RPG developed and published by koh-gt, released on October 15, 2026. Set in Ward Nine, a flooded district sealed off by the megacorporation Helion Consolidated, the game casts you as an unlicensed courier sent to investigate why something inside the sealed zone is still drawing power eleven years after the hatches were welded shut.

With a radio companion named Wren monitoring your vitals, Juno keeping the underground outposts supplied, and Director Silas Krove treating you as a trespasser, the narrative is delivered through a cast of characters who feel present even in the desolate setting.

Highlights

Mouse-Only Controls: The entire game is designed to be played with just a mouse, making it accessible and unique among action RPGs.
Energy-Based Combat: Attacking, defending, and fleeing all draw from a shared energy pool that regenerates in real time. Spending too much on offense can leave you unable to escape, while shields are strongest when first activated and weaken as they deplete, rewarding careful timing.
Extraction RPG Elements: As an extraction RPG, you'll venture into dangerous zones, gather resources, and try to make it back alive, with roguelite mechanics adding replayability.

Who It's For

If you enjoy action roguelikes with a strong atmosphere, or if you're looking for a game that respects your time with a single-player, mouse-only experience, Ferrite Runner is worth a look. The cyberpunk setting and pixel graphics will appeal to fans of the genre, while the energy management system adds a layer of strategy that sets it apart from typical runners.

The game also includes camera comfort options and custom volume controls, making it a considerate choice for players with specific accessibility needs.
