Compatibility Guide
The card has a single HDMI input and connects to the PC through a USB 3.0 Type-A port. Listed operating systems are Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. Listed consoles are Xbox One, PS3/PS4/PS5 and Nintendo Switch. It works with OBS Studio, Zoom, VLC and PotPlayer.
Common pitfalls:
- USB port choice: A USB 3.0 port is recommended. A USB 2.0 port may not offer enough bandwidth, so check the port label or color.
- Direct connection: Extension cables and hubs can make detection unstable. Plug into the PC itself first to rule them out.
- Mixing up its purpose: It does not add an HDMI output to a PC. It only takes video in from external devices.
- No pass-through listed: The specs list no HDMI output. If you want to show a console on a TV while capturing, plan a separate splitting method.

The 4K/30Hz input means a 4K source can be connected and will be picked up, not that it can be saved in 4K. The captured video is 1080p/60Hz at most.
L-PCM is uncompressed audio, so game or camera sound comes in as-is.

Recommended Users
- Beginners who want to stream or record games on a budget: connect a console and capture 1080p/60Hz in OBS Studio at low cost.
- Teachers and meeting hosts sharing an external camera: connect a video camera or document camera over HDMI and pass it to Zoom.
- Creators who travel light: take a camera's HDMI output into a laptop for interviews or live streams.
Before You Buy
It is not for people who need to save 4K. The input goes up to 4K/30Hz, but capture is limited to 1080p/60Hz. If 4K recording is the goal, pick another product.
It is not for multi-camera capture. There is one HDMI input, so a multi-camera setup needs several units.
Check the number of USB 3.0 ports and their bandwidth before connecting more than one.
Check your setup if you want the console on a TV too. The specs list no HDMI output.
If you want to watch gameplay live while streaming, plan another route, such as a splitter or a second monitor input.
