Overview
Seven centuries before the events of Ys I & II, the land of Ys faced an existential threat. As demons swarmed the surface, the twin Goddesses spirited their people away to safety in the clouds. However, the demons pursued, constructing a colossal tower to reach their fleeing prey. The conflict escalated, moving from the ground to the skies. In the midst of this chaos, the Goddesses mysteriously vanished, leaving Ys in peril. Their only known destination was the ominous Devil's Tower. A desperate search party, comprised of knights and sorcerers, was dispatched to the surface, hoping to find and rescue the missing deities.
