Overview

The Tecmojo 6-Way 19-Inch Rack Mount PDU is a power distribution unit designed for small servers and network equipment. It features six switched outlets rated at 13A, allowing individual control of each socket for efficient power management. The unit is built from durable aluminum alloy and supports both rack-mount and wall-mount installation. Built-in surge protection safeguards connected devices against voltage spikes. It comes with a UK plug (BS 1363 compliant) and a 2-meter power cable, and is UKCA certified and TUV tested for safety.

Connectivity & Compatibility

This PDU provides six UK-type outlets (13A rated), primarily compatible with devices using British standard plugs. It can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack or fixed to a wall using the included brackets. Input is via a UK plug, rated for 13A at 230V. The surge protection covers typical household and office power surges. Note that the outlets are not rotating, so large AC adapters may block adjacent sockets.

Best Use Cases

  • Home Lab Enthusiasts: Ideal for those running servers, switches, and NAS devices in a home rack. Six outlets provide ample capacity, and surge protection adds peace of mind.
  • Small Office Environments: Perfect for offices with limited space needing to power multiple IT devices. Wall-mount capability saves desk space and simplifies cable management.
  • Users with UK Plug Devices: Convenient for equipment that uses British standard plugs (e.g., imported gear) without needing adapters. However, in Japan's 100V environment, the 13A rating is not fully utilized, so verify voltage compatibility.
Not recommended for users who only need basic power strips for standard Japanese 100V appliances and have no rack or wall-mount requirements.
