Overview
The SilverStone FLP02 is a PC case that combines a nostalgic retro exterior with the ability to house modern high-performance components. Its beige chassis and classic front panel design evoke the look of 1980s desktop PCs, complete with 5.25-inch drive bays and a floppy drive-style slot. Inside, however, it supports ATX motherboards, standard power supplies, and long graphics cards, making it suitable for everything from office builds to gaming rigs.
Key Features
- Retro aesthetic: Beige finish with vintage front panel details
- Modern compatibility: Supports ATX motherboards, standard ATX PSUs, and GPUs up to 330mm
- Cooling: Front and rear 120mm fan mounts for decent airflow
- Storage: Two 5.25-inch bays, two 3.5-inch bays, and two 2.5-inch bays
- Side panel: Available with acrylic window to show off components
Compatibility Guide
The FLP02 fits ATX motherboards and smaller. It accepts ATX power supplies up to 160mm in length. Graphics cards up to 330mm can be installed, so even high-end GPUs like the RTX 4090 will fit (depending on model). CPU cooler clearance is 160mm, allowing most tower air coolers. For liquid cooling, a 240mm radiator can be mounted at the front, but there is no top radiator support.
Ideal Builds
- Retro-themed gaming PCs
- Desk setups with a vintage aesthetic
- Builds that need modern performance but classic looks
- Mid-range to high-end gaming configurations
Upgrade Considerations
Internal space is somewhat tight, so careful cable management is recommended. A fully modular PSU helps reduce clutter. If you want to preserve the retro look, consider using minimal RGB lighting. The case lacks a top radiator mount, so if you plan to use liquid cooling, a front-mounted 240mm AIO is the best option.
