Compatibility Guide
This enclosure is designed for M.2 NVMe SSDs (M-key). SATA-based M.2 SSDs (B-key) are not supported. It accommodates four common form factors: 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280. Connection is via a single USB-C cable, and it is recognized by PCs, Macs, PlayStation, Xbox, and many other devices.
Ideal Use Cases
- Expanding storage on a gaming laptop
- Fast external working drive for creative professionals
- Adding external storage to game consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S)
- High-speed backup media for system images
Upgrade Considerations
The enclosure's maximum transfer speed is capped at 10Gbps, so even if you install a PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 NVMe SSD, you will not exceed that limit. For most external storage tasks, 10Gbps is more than adequate. Also, because it is bus-powered, some high-power SSDs may cause instability; try using a powered USB hub or a different port if issues arise.
