Overview
The Cable Matters Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable delivers up to 48Gbps bandwidth, supporting 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video transmission. Fully compliant with the HDMI 2.1 specification, it supports eARC, VRR, ALLM, DSC, and other advanced features. Ideal for connecting gaming monitors, modern TVs, and graphics cards, this cable ensures stable high-refresh-rate and HDR content delivery.
Key Features
- Up to 48Gbps bandwidth enables uncompressed 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz
- Supports all HDMI 2.1 features: eARC, VRR, ALLM, DSC, HDR10+, Dolby Vision
- Gold-plated connectors and triple shielding prevent signal degradation
- Available in multiple lengths: 1.8m (6ft), 3m (10ft), and more
- Backward compatible with HDMI 2.0/1.4 devices
Compatibility Guide
This cable uses a standard HDMI Type-A connector and works with most devices equipped with an HDMI port. However, to take full advantage of HDMI 2.1 features, both the source (graphics card or console) and display (monitor or TV) must support HDMI 2.1. Compatible sources include NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30/40 series, AMD Radeon RX 6000/7000 series, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. When used with older HDMI 2.0 devices, bandwidth is limited to 18Gbps.
Ideal Use Cases
- Connecting an 8K TV to a modern graphics card for movies and gaming
- Pairing with a 4K/120Hz gaming monitor to maximize refresh rates
- Transmitting high-quality audio via eARC between a TV and soundbar/AV receiver
- Longer cable runs in home theater setups (3m length available)
Upgrade Considerations
While HDMI 2.1 cables share the same physical connector as HDMI 2.0, the bandwidth is significantly higher. When upgrading from an older cable, ensure you choose a certified "Ultra High Speed HDMI" cable to reliably achieve 4K/120Hz or 8K/60Hz. For lengths beyond 3m, signal attenuation may occur; consider an active optical cable (AOC) for longer runs. This passive copper cable maintains stable 48Gbps performance up to 3m.
