Overview
Pixel Survivors: Defense is a roguelite tower defense from developer and publisher Amrita, released on October 13, 2026. The twist is that your tower is also your hero — it never moves, but it fights back with spells that fire automatically as monsters march down the lanes.
Each run is a race to build the right combination before the line breaks.
Highlights
- Build wave by wave: Level up to choose new spells and upgrades, then spend gold in the shop between waves. You can hold up to 5 of 18 spells, and from wave 21 onward, each spell can evolve into something much more powerful.
- Over 200 items: A deep item pool lets you push a build to its limits, and many items come with trade-offs that force interesting decisions.
- Enemies fight back: Elites have their own tricks, 8 bosses block your progress, and some maps send enemies from multiple directions, keeping you on your toes.
Who It's For
If you enjoy roguelite runs, auto-battler mechanics, or tower defense with a twist, this game should feel right at home. The mix of bullet-hell dodging (well, dodging by positioning your tower's upgrades) and strategic itemization creates a loop that rewards experimentation.
It's also a single-player experience with adjustable difficulty, so you can tailor the challenge to your mood.
