Overview
PENNANT: Baseball Owner puts you in the owner's box, not the dugout. You buy a franchise—big market or small, with your own money or the bank's—and then hire the twelve people who actually run it.
The general manager, the CFO, the head trainer: they all work for you, and they all bring their own judgment to the daily grind. Your desk is where the big calls land: budgets, hires, trades, free agents, the draft.
It's a text-based baseball management sim with 30 generated franchises, and it's currently in Early Access on Steam.
Highlights
- Text-based management core: No on-field action; the game is about decisions, not swings.
- 30 generated franchises: Each playthrough offers a fresh league landscape to navigate.
- Staff with real judgment: Your hires act on their own opinions, not just stats.
- Scouting as opinion: Player ratings are estimates with confidence tags, so your staff's quality matters.
- Early Access title: Developed and published by Pennant Sports, with single-player focus and Steam Achievements.
Who It's For
If you've ever wished you could run a baseball club from the front office—without touching a bat—PENNANT is aimed squarely at you. It's for fans of deep strategy games, management sims, and anyone who enjoys the roguelike tension of making decisions with incomplete information.
The text-based presentation means you'll be reading a lot, but every line feeds into a web of consequences. If you prefer action on the field, this might not be your game; if you love the chess match of roster construction and budget balancing, it's worth a look.
