Overview

The CORSAIR iCUE 4000D RGB AIRFLOW is a mid-tower ATX case designed for high airflow. Its white steel and tempered glass construction, combined with a mesh front panel, maximizes ventilation. It comes with three AF120 RGB ELITE fans and a Lighting Node PRO controller, enabling detailed RGB lighting control via iCUE software. The case supports graphics cards up to 360mm and features the RapidRoute cable management system for easy wiring.
This case suits a wide range of builders, from gaming PC enthusiasts to those seeking a balance of cooling and quiet operation. Despite its mid-tower size, it offers excellent expandability, accommodating ATX motherboards, large CPU coolers, and 360mm radiators.

Product Info

The CORSAIR iCUE 4000D RGB AIRFLOW was released in 2022 and sits in the mid-to-high-end segment of PC cases. Its price range is approximately $100–$130 USD (or ¥15,000–¥20,000 JPY). It is a premium variant of the 4000D series, featuring RGB fans and a controller out of the box. The warranty is two years. It is available through online retailers, major electronics retailers, and PC specialty stores.
Market positioning: a mid-tower case that balances airflow performance and RGB customization. Compared to competitors like Fractal Design Pop Air or NZXT H5 Flow, it offers superior fan quality and the extensible iCUE ecosystem.

Best Use Cases

  • Beginner to intermediate PC builders: Excellent for first-time builds thanks to easy cable management and ample expansion. The included RGB fans let you enjoy lighting without extra purchases. However, if absolute silence is a priority, you may need to adjust fan curves.
  • High-end gamers: Supports large GPUs (RTX 4090) and 360mm liquid cooling, making it suitable for top-tier configurations. iCUE integration is ideal for users with multiple CORSAIR components.
  • White-themed PC enthusiasts: The white steel and tempered glass look clean and match well with white components. For best aesthetics, pair with a white motherboard and cables.
  • Creative workstation builders: Good airflow prevents heat buildup during long renders. However, the limited 3.5-inch drive bays (2) may be a constraint for those needing many HDDs.

Things to Consider

  • The included AF120 RGB ELITE fans have a max speed of ~1500 RPM, which is moderate. For high-heat CPUs/GPUs, consider adding more fans or a liquid cooler.
  • The mesh front panel lacks a dust filter; purchasing an aftermarket filter is recommended.
  • The tempered glass side panel is prone to fingerprints and requires careful handling. The case weighs about 8kg.
  • Competitors like Fractal Design Pop Air are cheaper, while NZXT H5 Flow is more compact. Compare based on budget and design preference.
  • PSU clearance is limited to 220mm; verify your power supply depth before purchase.
