This article covers 【コネクタ(100個)セット】 エレコム LANケーブル 300m 自作用 RoHS指令対応 CAT5e ライトブルー LD.
Overview
The ELECOM LD-CT2/LB300/RS is a 300-meter bulk spool of Cat5e UTP cable designed for DIY network installations. It comes in a tangle-free box with a length indicator so you can see how much cable remains. Paired with the LD-RJ45T100V2, a pack of 100 Cat5e RJ45 connectors that support both solid and stranded wires, this kit offers everything needed to create custom-length Ethernet cables. The connectors feature gold-plated pins to resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity. This bundle is an excellent value for anyone setting up or expanding a wired network. ## Specifications | Item | Specification | |------|---------------| | Cable Length | 300m | | Cable Category | Cat5e | | Transmission Standard | 100BASE-TX / 1000BASE-T | | Cable Type | UTP (twisted pair) | | Number of Connectors | 100 | | Connector Wire Compatibility | Solid & stranded | | Connector Pin Material | Gold-plated | | Connector Type | RJ45 (8P8C) | | RoHS Compliance | Yes | | Cable Color | Light blue |
Connectivity & Compatibility
This cable is rated for Cat5e, supporting 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T networks. The included connectors work with both solid and stranded cable, making it suitable for straight-through or crossover wiring. It can be terminated to standard patch panels, wall jacks, and RJ45 plugs. While it works with most consumer and enterprise switches, routers, and NICs, it is not designed for 10GBASE-T or higher speeds. For 10 GbE applications, consider Cat6a or higher.

Best Use Cases
Home or small office network cabling – The 300m length allows running cables through walls, ceilings, or conduits without needing extra joints. Perfect for a whole-house Ethernet installation. IT technicians and facility managers – With 100 connectors, you can terminate dozens of drops at once, saving time and ensuring consistent quality across the network. Cost-conscious DIY enthusiasts – Buying bulk cable and connectors separately is often cheaper than pre-terminated patch cables of the same total length, and you get exactly the lengths you need.
Things to Consider
Limited to 1 Gbps speeds – if you plan to upgrade to 10 GbE in the future, choose Cat6a or Cat7 cable. The Cat5e rating will become a bottleneck. Cable management – 300m of cable is heavy and requires careful storage. The box helps but you’ll need a large work area to pull and cut lengths. Connectors are Cat5e-specific and may not fit thicker Cat6/7 cables. Also, UTP lacks shielding; in electrically noisy environments, STP or FTP cable would be better. * Termination tool not included – you will need a separate RJ45 crimping tool and possibly a cable stripper. Ensure you have those before starting.
