## Overview
The ELECOM V-custom VK310S (model TK-VK310SBK) is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard built specifically for FPS and other shooting games. It uses silver switches with a speed linear feel, designed to keep up with fast finger movements during intense gunfights. The compact layout frees up desk space for mouse movement, which is a key advantage for competitive play.
The Neo Clutch keycaps, developed through extensive prototyping with pro players, offer a shape that grips the fingers while still releasing cleanly to reduce input errors.

## Connectivity & Compatibility
The VK310S connects via a wired USB interface and includes a built-in USB port on the keyboard body. This lets you plug in a mouse, headset, or other peripherals directly into the keyboard, reducing cable clutter on your desk. The tenkeyless design means you lose the numeric keypad, but gain extra room for mouse swipes.
It works with any system that has a USB port, including desktop PCs and laptops. For detailed OS compatibility and connector specifications, check the official ELECOM product page.

## Product Info
The TK-VK310SBK was released on September 16, 2022. It belongs to ELECOM's V custom series, a high-class gaming device lineup aimed at everyone from professionals to entry-level players. Within that lineup, this model sits in the mid-tier as a specialized FPS-oriented tenkeyless mechanical keyboard.
The development process involved a project team that included professional gamers, with numerous prototypes tested before finalizing the design. The focus is on both measurable performance and the subjective feel of the keyboard, which is a distinctive approach for a peripheral maker.

## Best Use Cases
- Competitive FPS players who need fast response and precise input: the silver speed linear switches and Neo Clutch keycaps are tuned for rapid, accurate keystrokes. Not ideal for heavy spreadsheet work that relies on a numeric keypad.
- Gamers with limited desk space who want a cleaner setup: the tenkeyless layout and built-in USB port let you connect a mouse and headset directly to the keyboard. If you need to connect many USB devices at once, you may still want a separate hub.
- Players who value pro-level design input: the keyboard was refined with feedback from professional gamers, focusing on reducing input errors and improving response speed. Those who prefer quiet typing may find the mechanical switch noise noticeable.
