## Overview

The Last Hearth is a side-scrolling settlement strategy game from developer Last Hearth Games and publisher Far North Interactive. Released on October 20, 2026, this single-player adventure places you in the role of the Keeper of a small settlement whose survival hinges on a single, ever-burning fire. Set in a pixel-art valley where winter is an ever-present threat, the game blends exploration, resource management, and a compact story campaign.

## Highlights

- **Core Premise**: One fire sustains an entire valley. Beyond its light lies only winter, and your job is to keep that flame alive.
- **Gameplay Loop**: Ride through a detailed pixel-art valley, rescue stranded travelers, and transform scattered shelters into a thriving community.
- **Building & Management**: Restore heat towers to reactivate nearby worksites, and construct homes, a kitchen, a common hall, and a workshop to support your people.
- **Story & Atmosphere**: A cinematic, dystopian tone with a compact single-player campaign that focuses on survival and community.
