The Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition is a tenkeyless gaming keyboard built around Razer's Linear Optical Switch. This keyboard is designed for competitive gamers who need every millisecond to count. The compact tenkeyless layout frees up desk space for mouse movement, and the detachable USB-C braided cable makes it easy to pack for LAN events or tournaments. Keycaps are made from durable PBT plastic with doubleshot molding, so the legends won't wear off over time. Full per-key RGB lighting is powered by Razer Chroma, supporting 16.8 million colors and integration with supported games and other Chroma-enabled devices.
The Huntsman TE connects via a detachable USB-C cable with a locking latch to prevent accidental disconnection during intense gameplay. There is no wireless or Bluetooth option — this is a purely wired keyboard. It is compatible with Windows 10 and later (Razer Synapse 3 required for full customization). Basic keyboard functions work on macOS, but advanced features like macro programming and lighting effects are limited. The keyboard supports N-key rollover and anti-ghosting across all keys.
The Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition (model RZ03-03080100-R3M1) launched in late 2019 and sits in the mid-to-high tier of gaming keyboards. Its key differentiators are the optical switch speed and the PBT keycap set, which is rare in this price segment. It comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty (official Japanese distributor model). The package includes the keyboard, detachable USB-C cable, Razer logo sticker, and user manual. Check the retailer's page for the latest price.
Competitive FPS players: The 1.0mm actuation and linear feel allow for lightning-fast response in games like Valorant, CS2, or Overwatch. However, the same sensitivity can lead to accidental presses during regular typing, so it's best as a dedicated gaming keyboard. Gamers who prefer a compact layout: The tenkeyless design saves desk space and allows a more ergonomic mouse position. * Razer ecosystem enthusiasts: Full integration with Razer Synapse 3 and Chroma RGB lets you sync lighting across multiple Razer peripherals and compatible games. Onboard memory stores up to five profiles, so your settings travel with the keyboard.
