It's an excellent choice for users who need number entry but want to save desk space. The keyboard supports both USB-C wired and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connections, and it's fully programmable via QMK/VIA. This particular variant comes with Keychron K Pro Blue switches and a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to change switches without soldering. The keycaps are OSA-profile double-shot PBT, offering good oil resistance and a satisfying feel. The south-facing RGB backlight provides over 22 lighting effects and is compatible with Cherry-profile replacement keycaps.
Connectivity options include USB Type-C (wired) and Bluetooth 5.1, which can pair with up to three devices simultaneously. Switching between a PC, Mac, tablet, or phone is seamless. The keyboard is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux out of the box, and it includes extra keycaps for Mac users. The layout is US ANSI; Japanese layout users should look for the JIS variant. Wired mode supports full N-key rollover, ensuring accurate input during gaming or fast typing. Bluetooth performance is stable for everyday use, but for competitive gaming, a wired connection is recommended to minimize latency.
Released in 2023, the K4 Pro sits in the mid-to-high-end segment of custom mechanical keyboards. It's distributed in Japan by Copec Japan, with proper technical certification (技適). Check the retailer's page for the latest price. The package includes a USB-C cable, Mac/Windows keycap sets, keycap and switch pullers, and a hex key.
