It connects via USB-C and offers full RGB backlighting, hot-swappable switch sockets, and programmable keys. Magnetic switches provide non-contact actuation, resulting in high durability and fast response times. The aluminum case gives it a premium feel that stands out on any desk. While it is a wired-only model, the USB-C connection ensures low latency and broad compatibility.
The IQUNIX EV63 connects via USB-C (included cable USB-C to USB-A) and works with Windows, macOS, and iPadOS out of the box. Basic functions are recognized without drivers, but full customization (key remapping, macro assignment, lighting control) requires IQUNIX's proprietary software, currently available only for Windows. This layout maximizes mouse space but requires a learning curve for users accustomed to larger keyboards. The hot-swappable switch sockets are compatible with most 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, allowing easy customization.
The IQUNIX EV63 series launched in late 2025. Check the retailer's page for the latest price. The package includes a USB-C cable, keycap puller, switch puller, a few spare keycaps, and a manual. Market positioning: a premium aluminum-bodied keyboard with magnetic switches, competing against plastic-cased alternatives at similar price points. The lack of wireless connectivity is a notable trade-off for users seeking a cable-free setup.
Not recommended for MMO players who rely on many macro keys. Typists who value smooth, quiet keystrokes: Magnetic switches provide a linear, silent feel. Hot-swap capability lets you experiment with different switch types. May not satisfy those who prefer tactile or clicky feedback. * Aesthetics-focused users: The silver aluminum case and understated design complement minimalist setups. RGB lighting is adjustable but relatively subdued compared to flashier gaming keyboards. Best for users who want a clean, professional look.
