This article covers HUAWEI(ファーウェイ) UQ WiMAX HWD36SKU.

## Overview
The HUAWEI UQ WiMAX HWD36SKU is a compact mobile router designed for on-the-go internet access. It supports downlink speeds up to 575 Mbps over WiMAX 2+ networks, making it suitable for browsing, streaming, and light work tasks. The device runs on battery power, so you can use it anywhere without needing a wall outlet. It can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously, which is handy for sharing a connection with friends or family.
This model is part of UQ Communications' Speed Wi-Fi NEXT lineup and includes a WPS button for one-touch Wi-Fi setup. It also comes with an AC adapter for continuous power when an outlet is available. Whether you're traveling, working remotely, or need a backup internet connection at home, this router offers a practical balance of performance and affordability.

## Connectivity & Compatibility
The HWD36SKU operates on the WiMAX 2+ network, delivering maximum downlink speeds of 575 Mbps in supported areas. It creates a local Wi-Fi network that up to 10 devices can join simultaneously. The WPS button simplifies pairing with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Wi-Fi-enabled gadgets.
Battery operation means you can use it in places without USB power, and the included AC adapter lets you plug it in for extended sessions. Note that this router is locked to UQ WiMAX service; it does not accept SIM cards from other carriers. You'll need a separate contract with UQ Communications to activate the data plan.

## Product Info
Released around 2018, the HWD36SKU remains available through UQ Communications' official channels and retailers like online retailers. Warranty terms depend on the seller, but used units typically come with a short warranty period. Accessories include the router body, AC adapter, and manual.
In the mobile router market, this device sits at the entry-to-mid level. It doesn't match the speeds of modern 5G routers, but within WiMAX 2+ coverage it delivers reliable performance at a budget-friendly price. For users who don't need the absolute fastest connection, it's a cost-effective choice.

## Best Use Cases
* Travelers and remote workers: If you frequently work from cafes, parks, or co-working spaces without reliable Wi-Fi, this router provides a personal hotspot. Its battery lets you stay connected for hours without hunting for an outlet. However, if you need ultra-fast speeds for large file transfers or 4K streaming, consider a 5G router instead.
* Home backup or temporary internet: For apartments where installing fiber is difficult, or for short-term stays, the HWD36SKU can serve as a primary connection. With support for up to 10 devices, it's suitable for light household use. Heavy gamers or streamers may find the speed insufficient for consistent high-quality video.
