## Overview
The Drop + Matt3o MT3 Susuwatari custom keycap set (MDX-33813-4) is a high-profile ABS keycap set inspired by the iconic IBM beam spring keyboards of the 1970s. Designed by Matt3o and manufactured by Drop, this extra kit features warm grey alpha keys with near-black modifiers, double-shot legends that never fade, and a sculpted profile that delivers a unique typing experience. The set pays homage to the "Susuwatari" soot sprites from Studio Ghibli films, adding a playful touch to your keyboard.

## Connectivity & Compatibility
These keycaps are compatible with any switch that uses a standard Cherry MX stem, including clones from Kailh, Gateron, and ZealPC. Drop keyboards such as ALT, CTRL, Shift, Preonic, Planck, and Carina are verified compatible. Keyboards with non-standard stems (e. g. , Razer, Logitech, or optical switches) are not supported.

## Product Info
Released originally in 2019, the MT3 Susuwatari extra kit is available through Japanese online retailers and the Drop store. In the custom keyboard market, this set sits in the mid-to-high tier due to its high-quality double-shot ABS construction and unique sculpted profile. The set includes only keycaps; no keyboard or switches are included. Warranty varies by seller but follows Drop's standard policy.

## Best Use Cases
- Vintage keyboard enthusiasts: If you crave the feel of old IBM terminals, the MT3 profile's deep dish and extreme sculpting offer a tactile and acoustic experience unlike any other. It's perfect for those who appreciate a retro typing feel with modern reliability.
- Custom keyboard builders: Already own a Susuwatari base set? This extra kit lets you add novelty keys and cover unusual layouts or just swap in some personality. Great for personalizing your build.
- Design-conscious typists: The Ghibli-inspired color scheme and thoughtful aesthetics make this set a conversation piece. However, if you prefer low-profile or uniform keycaps, the high sculpt might take some adjustment.
