## Overview

Desklings is a cozy desktop companion game from developer Doodle Nest that turns the thin strip above your taskbar into a tiny home for doodle-style creatures. These little friends wander, nap, peek at your cursor, and interact with decorations you place while you work, study, or play. The game is designed to be unobtrusive: clicks pass straight through to your windows, and the strip hides itself automatically when a fullscreen game or video is running. Released on October 15, 2026, it supports English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, and includes Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing.

## Highlights

- **Desktop Companion & Idler**: The creatures live in a persistent strip above your taskbar, idling and interacting with your cursor and decorations.
- **Interactive & Cute**: You can pet them with your cursor to see hearts float up, or pick them up and watch them dangle—simple, charming interactions.
- **Multi-player & Cozy**: While primarily a solo cozy experience, the game supports multi-player, and its casual, relaxing nature fits the Creature Collector and Simulation tags.

## Who It's For

Desklings is perfect for anyone who wants a bit of life on their desktop without distraction. If you enjoy idle games, virtual pets, or cozy simulations, this will fit right into your workflow. It's also great for streamers or people who spend long hours at their computer and want a gentle, non-intrusive companion. The game's cute art style and relaxing pace make it suitable for all ages.
