This article covers Corsair Scimitar Elite RGB Wireless MMO Gaming Mouse.

## Overview
The Corsair Scimitar Elite RGB Wireless is a purpose-built MMO gaming mouse that puts 16 programmable buttons right under your thumb. Its standout feature is the sliding 12-button side panel, which you can reposition to match your hand size — a godsend for anyone who’s ever struggled to reach all those side buttons on a fixed-panel mouse. The CORSAIR MARKSMAN optical sensor tracks up to 26,000 DPI with 650 IPS and 50G acceleration, ensuring pixel-perfect aim even during frantic raid encounters.
Connectivity is flexible: you can use Corsair’s SLIPSTREAM wireless (sub-1ms latency with 2,000Hz hyper-polling), Bluetooth 4.2, or a wired USB connection. Battery life reaches up to 150 hours via Bluetooth with lighting off, and the mouse charges to full in about 90 minutes. For competitive MMO play, SLIPSTREAM mode delivers both low latency and high polling rates that rival wired mice.

## Connectivity & Compatibility
The Scimitar Elite uses a dedicated SLIPSTREAM USB receiver for its lowest-latency wireless mode, which also supports 2,000Hz polling — double the rate of standard wireless gaming mice. Bluetooth 4.2 is available for quick switching between a PC and a laptop or tablet. The USB-C wired connection allows charging while gaming, so you never have to stop. The mouse works with Windows 10/11 and macOS, and all customization is handled through Corsair’s iCUE software (button mapping, DPI stages, RGB lighting, and surface calibration).
Compatibility is straightforward: any device with a USB-A port can use the wired or receiver modes. Bluetooth pairing is standard. The receiver and mouse are pre-paired out of the box. For MMO gaming, SLIPSTREAM wireless is recommended over Bluetooth due to lower latency and higher polling stability.

## Product Info
The Corsair Scimitar Elite RGB Wireless (model CH-9314211-NA) launched in August 2023. The package includes the mouse, SLIPSTREAM USB receiver, USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and quick-start guide. Warranty coverage is two years in most regions. Compared to competitors like the Logitech G600 or Razer Naga, the Scimitar Elite stands out for its adjustable side panel, 2,000Hz wireless polling, and 150-hour battery life in Bluetooth mode.

## Best Use Cases
* MMO gamers: The 12-button side panel is adjustable, so players with small or large hands can position every button under their thumb. Assign spells, potions, or macros to individual buttons and keep your left hand free for movement. The 16 total programmable buttons are more than enough for any hotbar setup.
* Macro-heavy users: If you frequently automate repetitive tasks in productivity software or creative apps, the onboard memory saves profiles directly to the mouse. No need to keep iCUE running.
* Wireless enthusiasts: Sub-1ms latency with 2,000Hz polling is genuinely indistinguishable from a wired connection. The 150-hour Bluetooth battery is also ideal for travel or media-center use.
* Considerations: The mouse weighs approximately 130g — not ultralight. FPS players who prefer light mice may find it heavy. Also, the Scimitar Elite is right-handed only; left-handed users should look at ambidextrous alternatives. If you rarely use more than 6-8 buttons, a simpler mouse like the Corsair Dark Core might save you money.
