It features ROG NX mechanical switches (Red) with factory lubrication for smooth keystrokes and reduced noise. An interactive touch panel on the top edge allows quick volume and lighting adjustments. Dual USB-C ports provide flexible cable routing, and the keyboard is officially recommended for Final Fantasy XIV, making it suitable for FPS and MMO gamers alike.
The Falchion Ace connects via USB (Type-C to Type-A) and works with Windows 10+, macOS, and Linux. No special drivers are needed; Armoury Crate software enables full customization of key assignments and RGB lighting.
Launched in 2023, the ROG Falchion Ace sits in the mid- to high-tier segment of compact gaming keyboards. Check the retailer's page for the latest price. Dimensions are 305×101×38 mm, and the case includes a detachable cover and rubber feet with three tilt angles. The keyboard incorporates ROG switch stabilizers and sound-damping foam to reduce noise.
Ideal for competitive shooters where mouse room is critical. Streamers and creators: The touch panel allows instant audio and lighting control without reaching for function keys, useful during live streaming or recording. * FF14 players: As an officially recommended model for Final Fantasy XIV, the layout and software profiles align well with MMO hotbar setups, though heavy users may need to customize layers.

## Things to Consider
This keyboard is wired-only, so it won't suit those preferring wireless desk setups. The switches are not hot-swappable, meaning any switch change requires desoldering. The lack of dedicated function keys means accessing F1–F12 requires holding the Fn key, which can be cumbersome in applications that rely on function keys. Only US ANSI layout is available; Japanese layout users should look elsewhere. The right Shift key is non-standard (1.75u), limiting keycap replacement choices. While the sound-damping foam reduces noise, it's not silent; for absolute quiet, consider rubber dome or silent switch keyboards.
